Česká inovace is an important platform for innovative projects in the Czech Republic and just announced the beginning of its 3rd year of Czech Innovation award. Award is open for ideas from any individual, student or research teams, start-ups, small and medium-sized companies, large companies or public administration institutions! The jury has more than hundred members, all of them experts in different fields.
The category “Innovative Idea” includes innovations from individuals or students, the category “Rising Innovation” will include assessment of start-up companies, “Innovation Star” category is dedicated for small and medium-sized companies, the category “Innovative Company” calls for companies with more than 250 employees and the fifth category will be focused on innovations in the Public Administration. New this year is the special award for “social impact”.
The objective of the award is to discover perspective innovation, support their authors and medialize them to inspire others. Česká inovace already helped dozens of projects to make the next step and promote them, provide advise, helped them financially or connect them with relevant partners.
Finalists will get visibility in media, support in consulting of their future development, get access to finance resources and useful contacts. Czech Innovation award is focused mainly on the practical support for the commercial application/use of new ideas.
Submission deadline is November 15th 2013. The winners will be announced at the Festival of Innovation, which will be held on 14th March 2014 at the National Technical Library in Prague.
110 projects entered the award last year. An absolute winner of the award 2012 was the project called Degradable Esophageal Stent with a Degradable Coating by ELLA-CS Ltd., which helps the patients who suffer from esophageal diseases. It is a tube which extends narrowed throat during the treatment of tumor or after an accident, etc. so the patient can ear regular food.
