Spielberk Tower Hosts Architectural Workshop on Relocation of Brno Main Railway Station
Students work on their proposals with the added advantage of a birds eye view of the Brno's main railway station: the subject of the 3-day workshop.
As part of CTP's ongoing efforts to support student interest in urban development, architecture and landscaping, the Tower at Spielberk was host to a 3-day workshop entitled "Urban concept as a new impulse for the development of a modern city" The workshop, organised by Faculty of Architecture at Brno University of Technology and the city of Brno, involved nearly 30 student participants, with lectures and presentations from architects, landscape architects and transport specialists who consulted and assisted the students in their concepts.
The final proposals were prepared and presented to the Brno city mayor at the Old Town Hall on Monday October, 14. CTP is proud to support this event allowing the workshop to take place in the 20th floor of the BREEAM certified Spielberk Tower, which offered the students the ideal view over the city of Brno and the area under study.
Models prepared during the workshop will be staged as an exhibition entitled 'Město Žije' (Living City) in the lobby of IQ buildings C&D.
