Nada Alameddine appointed the new leader of ...
In February 2009 Nada Alameddine was appointed Director of Sales and Marketing for the Prague Marriott Hotel and Marriott Executive Apartments. She started her career with Marriott thirteen years ago in Beirut, first working as a Catering Sales Executive, followed by positions of Catering Manager, Event Manager, Director of Event Management and Director of Sales and Marketing.
Prior to her new position Nada worked for Hilton, where she acted as opening Director of Sales & Marketing for Hilton Beirut and most recently worked for the Hilton regional sales office in Cairo assisting the Senior Director of Business Development for Hilton Hotels in Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan & Africa for the past one and a half years.
Nada holds a B.S. degree in Nutrition and Food Technology and a Postgraduate Diploma in Dietetics from the American University of Beirut. Lebanese by origin, she speaks fluent Arabic, French and English. She was an active member in Red Cross Youth Club - Lebanon Section, and assisted many foster homes in Lebanon using her knowledge in previous studies of Nutrition and Food Technology. In her free time, she enjoys listening to music, reading and swimming. She also plays piano.
Parallel to her career in the hospitality business, she had also been working as professor at the Hotel Management School at the Saint Joseph University in Lebanon since 2001 and she was an International consultant for United Nations - World Food Program during summer 2006 in Lebanon.
In February 2009 Alexandra Gilíková accepted position of Cluster Director of Human Resources covering all Czech Marriott properties.
Alexandra graduated from Palackého University in Olomouc in 1999 with a M.A. degree in German and English Philology, and in the same year she entered the hotel industry as the Assistant to the Regional Manager in the Crowne Plaza Prague Hotel.
Four years later Alexandra joined the Four Seasons Hotel Prague in the same capacity. In March 2006 she took over the HR department as Human Resources Manager of Austria Hotels International, responsible for all HR regional tasks.
Alexandra joined Marriott International in February 2007 as Director of Human Resources for the Courtyard by Marriott Prague Airport and Courtyard by Marriott Pilsen. Two years later she was promoted to her current position, responsible for the HR departments of all Marriott International properties in the Czech Republic, including Prague Marriott Hotel, Marriott Executive Apartments, Courtyard by Marriott Prague Flora, Courtyard by Marriott Prague Airport and Courtyard by Marriott Pilsen with a total of 360 employees.
Besides a variety of sport activities (skiing, hiking, climbing, playing squash) she enjoys literature, arts, history and travelling.
Mark Agnew was appointed Director of Operations at the Prague Marriott Hotel. His new responsibilities include the Housekeeping & Front Office departments as well as the Food & Beverage departments.
Mark comes from Bo’ness in Scotland where he actually spent very little time. His father’s job took him though childhood in Bahrain, Qatar, Philippines and Nigeria. He came back to live in Scotland while getting his B.A. degree in Catering and Accommodation Studies at Napier University.
Mark can look back at 19 years with Marriott starting at the Warsaw Marriott hotel in 1989 where he was part of the opening team as Chief Steward; he then transferred to the London Marriott Grosvenor Square gradually holding several Food and Beverage positions from Restaurant, Bars and Room Service Manager to Director of Catering.
In 1994 Mark transferred to Florida as Director of Event Management at the Biscayne Bay Marriott in Miami, moving to Director of Food and Beverage at the Westshore Marriott Tampa Bay three years later.
In 2001 Mark relocated to Dubai accepting the position of Director of Event Planning and Operations at the JW Marriott, followed by the position of Director of Food & Beverage at the Jordan Valley Resort and Spa Dead Sea Marriott. His four years of the Middle East assignment were concluded by moving to Prague with his Czech wife and daughter in 2005. First he acted as Director of Food and Beverage for the Renaissance Prague Hotel, followed by Director of Food and Beverage position for both Renaissance and Prague Marriott hotels.
Mark spends his spare free time with his family, likes travelling, golf and forensics literature.
He speaks French and is in process of learning Czech.
