JŠK, advokátní kancelář, s.r.o. (formerly Johnson Štastný Kramařík) is pleased to announce the appointment of a new partner Tomáš Doležil. He is joining the firm from the Prague office of Clifford Chance, where he worked in the position of counsel. Tomáš spent more than eight years at Clifford Chance. Prior to that he worked for a similar period of time in the Prague office of Linklaters. In 2009 he spent six months as a secondee to the private equity group of Clifford Chance’s office in Frankfurt am Main.
Tomáš graduated from the Law Faculty of Masaryk University, Brno and undertook post-graduate studies at the European Institute in Saarbrücken, Germany, acquiring an LL.M. Eur. (Master of European Law) Degree. Tomáš has also completed a PhD Programme at the University of Economics in Prague and was admitted to the Czech Bar in 2002.
In terms of his legal practice, Tomáš focuses on mergers & acquisitions, private equity, corporate/commercial law and the TMT sector and has considerable experience in advising on cross-border and domestic transactions, including some of the most significant deals that have taken place over the last decade.
In addition, Tomáš is an active member of the Tax and Legal Committee of the Czech Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (CVCA) that supports the local private equity/venture capital community. Tomáš also participated on the Recodification Commission at the Ministry of Justice and is one of the leading co-authors of the commentary on the new Corporations Act (Wolters Kluwer).
Tomáš is a regular contributor to the legal and commercial press and acts as chairman of the editorial board of the legal magazine Jurisprudence. He is the author of a book on the law of group companies and an established lecturer on corporate and M&A law.
