Interview with Adriana Stará - General Director of Medtronic Czechia.
Medtronic is a global leader in the field of medical technology. How does the business go in the Czech market?
Globally has Medtronic the first or second position in most of the businesses, in which we operate – similarly it is on the Czech market. We are a significant player in cardiology, neuromodulation, orthopaedics and diabetes treatment. We also supply many various hospital equipment for operating rooms, too.
What is the Medtronic’s Czech strategy for achieving such great long-term results?
Our long-term strategy is based on high quality products and motivated professional employees. Our customers are our partners, with whom we look for the best solutions for the patient. Our mission is alleviate pain, restore health and extend life, so we aspire to fulfill this mission in everything we do.
Is it possible to compare the Czech Republic with other countries, where Medtronic operates?
Medtronic is comparably successful with other countries. We have all innovations, that the company launches on the market and we have an excellent team. I would say, we also excel in education and professionalism.
And finally - what do you enjoy about working in Medtronic? What motivates you the most?
I am motivated the most by the things, that we are successful for – by our people and our products. We have amazing high tech technologies, out of which many can save lifes. And if you see a patient, who can continue to live well, then your work makes sense. And last but not least is the opportunity to work with great people. I really enjoy it.
