Interview with Monika Steilen, the Press Spokesperson of Steelcase SA.
What is your strategy to reach good results on the market?
Steelcase applies a human-centred research process to product development, working with a broad network of internal and external research partners. We invest a great deal of time in studying and understanding how people work, how the work environment affects them, and what they do. This approach gives us vital insights that lay the foundation for our work and find their way into all of our products.
What are the new trends in the area of your business?
How and where people work today has fundamentally changed in recent years. The insights we gain through our research help create places that influence employee behavior which in turn help organizations to be more creative and innovative and ultimately perform better. Here are some recent trends:
Is it difficult to make business in the Czech Republic and can you compare it with other countries in which Steelcase SA is present?
We have been active on the Czech market since 1993 and with our high quality products and services we have been able to help organizations in this market to achieve a higher level of performance, by creating offices that allow collaborative and innovative ways of working. With Linstram we have a good and reliable partner, that provides complementary services to our furniture; ie. turn-key solutions for our customers, including fit-out, partitioning and carpeting. Every country in the world, however, has its own characteristics and challenges to doing business. The investment into our new plant in Stribro is of strategic importance for us and from here we have good access to other markets, such as Poland and Russia.
