30.06.2014
Company: Amcham

TNS Aisa completed the transition to tablets for personal interviews and now covers 100% of the entire network of interviewers by powerful tablets with mobile connection and high-resolution screen. The introduction of tablets in personal interviewing is beside an existing querying via smartphones further step of TNS Aisa in the introduction of new technologies in the collection of data for research projects. The company follows the growing trend of mobile Internet use.

Querying via tablets brings interviewers, but mostly respondents far better experience of questioning, which is reflected in the higher quality of the received data. "Not only for the interviewers but especially for the respondents is it more fun," says the CEO of TNS Aisa Bronislav Kvasnička, adding: "Questionnaires are intuitive, contains interesting graphical extension of questions adapted for touch control, which leads respondents to a more natural filling. This increases not only the quality of data, but also the return of questionnaires from the field, which entails reducing of costs. "
In addition to improving the quality of the obtained data, making interviews through tablet has a number of technical advantages such as:  the place of completing the questionnaire can be recognized through GPS, you can record pieces of speech in order to control the work of interviewers, enables instant transfer of data for processing, you can take pictures or make a video with respondents during the ethnographic studies or it enables flexible adaptation of questionnaires during the projects. This increases the flexibility of data collection.
Questioning through tablets is a great benefit in mystery shopping, the transmission of acquired materials, offers or receipts can be implemented in real time. The client has via the client portal almost immediate access to the interim results.
Within the project Eurobarometer (the largest continuous survey of attitudes, points of view, and satisfaction in various areas of EU) for the European Commission TNS uses tablets in all 27 member countries.
