T-Mobile has announced a change in the position of Vice President Business Marketing, with Martin Záklasník having recently been appointed to head the department. Martin is substituting Miloš Mastník, which held the position last two years.
“I see the key role of marketing in the business segment primarily in fostering the development of new business opportunities and services in the ICT market,” says Martin Záklasník, Vice President Business Marketing at T-Mobile.
After graduating from the University of Economics in Prague, Martin Záklasník (37) continued his studies at the University of Economics and Business Administrationin Vienna. He completed his studies by obtaining doctoral degree (PH. D.) at the University of Economics in Prague. During his studies, Martin completed several foreign internships in the United States, Austria and Mexico.
Martin has gained extensive experience in business and marketing during his long career working for foreign companies. He worked for five years as a consultant for telecommunications at the Bonn-based Detecon International, a member of the Deutsche Telekom Group, cooperating on a number of international projects. After that experience, he extended his stay in Germany for another year by working in the Business Development Department of Satellic Traffic Managment based on Berlin. He then accepted the position of Sales Director at T-Systems Czech Republic.
In addition to his native Czech, Martin speaks English, German, Russian and Spanish. He is married and has a three-year old son, David. He enjoys relaxing with his family and reading, as well as travelling, squash, golf and skiing.
