Up to one billion crowns a year - this is the amount that the insurance company reimburse for medical treatment of Czechs, who are injured abroad. According to statistics from Czech Insurance Association, the claim related to medical expenses abroad is reported nearly by 70,000 Czech tourists every year.
The average cost per claim amounted to 12 000 CZK last year.
