Passengers have voted Václav Havel Airport Prague one of the ten best European airports in terms of comfort and convenience during long waits for departure in the 2014 Sleeping in Airports Survey. Prague not only defended its position among European airports but moved up one rung to seventh position versus last year.
Throughout the last year, the international survey compared airports in terms of several areas – comfort, facilities, cleanliness and customer services. More than 18,000 respondents from all over the world took part in the survey.
In addition to omnipresent seats, relaxation zones, 24/24 restaurant, shopping and other services offered, passengers also appreciated free WiFi connections, the newly expanded facilities for families with children, the Rest&Fun centre for private relaxation or fun prior to departure and a large selection of private lounges. This year also brought new relaxation zones and improved restroom facilities, including child-size toilets in some of them.
The positive evaluation was also based upon the number of opportunities for leisure time activities at the airport, such as new exercise frames, giant-size traditional games or GeoTour for geocaching lovers.
