Law Firm of the Year for 2014: According to clients, the best law office is Weil, Gotshal & Manges

The law office of Weil, Gotshal & Manges is the best law firm of the year in the opinion of clients. In addition to the award for client services, the firm also obtained two additional awards in key categories in the competition for Law Firm of the Year for 2014.

A total of 21 awards were awarded in this year’s traditional professional competition. The decision on which firms will receive awards was made by an independent group of graders from among firms and institutions. This time the group was made up of 250 respondents and also included EPRAVO.CZ, an independent organization that has been monitoring the work of lawyers in this country on a long-term basis.

However, the decision on who will be granted the award of Law Firm of the Year for Best Client Services is made by clients themselves. The firm that received the most favorable reviews from the hundreds of clients surveyed was Weil, Gotshal & Manges. "This is one of the reasons why we value our win in this category so highly. If we have such a good reputation among the clients that use the services of law firms, it means that we are doing our work well. That was always what we strived for," stated Karel Muzikář, the managing partner of the law office.

"Personally, I also appreciate greatly the fact that our clients recognize that despite the initial cost, high-quality services are ultimately more beneficial to the client than legal services that may appear less costly at first glance but upon closer examination turn out to be much lower in terms of the standard of quality provided," he continued.

Weil, Gotshal & Manges had also obtained the award for best legal services in 2012.

This year, Weil also won awards in the key categories of Mergers and Acquisitions (just as it had in 2013, 2012, 2011 and 2010) and in the category of Economic Competition. "Receiving three awards in such prestigious legal categories is something that we view as an extraordinary achievement, one that attests to our leading position in the Czech market and is in line with the long-term ranking of our office by renowned foreign agencies," added Karel Muzikář in conclusion.
