Preventing employee health from the perspective of employment law, family clinics, health insurance and nutrition counselors
In cooperation with Oborová zdravotní pojišt'ovna 207 and TeamPrevent-Santé, s.r.o., a breakfast on "Risks arising from legislative changes in the field of occupational health services and how to prepare for them" was held in our Prague law office in June.
Partner of Eversheds Sutherland Radek Matous recapitulated the basic legislative changes in occupational health services in 2023 and possible legal risks associated with the abolition of periodic medical examinations (and the upcoming abolition of initial medical examinations) for the so-called non-risk categories of work.
Veronika Civínová and Marcel Púš from Oborová zdravot pojišt'ovna 207 presented the breakfast participants with statistics on the frequency of doctor visits and presented the possibilities of preventive programmes, including the Healthy Company programme.
Luboš Kmet'a, MD, physician and founder of Chronicare and Galen Clinik, defined health and motivation for prevention from the perspective of family and employer.
The last speaker was the organizer of the event Mgr. Richard Husovsky, coach and nutrition consultant specializing in creating healthy habits for employees.
Healthy and tasty breakfast in the form of coconut products and fruits from Wild & Coco was prepared by Magdalena Bachová.
The speakers outlined to all participants the possible legal risks including their solutions and presented in a suitable way the approaches that companies can take in implementing their strategies and responsible approach in the spirit of ESG - from individual health care in a private clinic, through health prevention programs of the health insurance company OZP, education of employees by a nutritionist to create healthy habits of employees to expanding the range of their canteens, cafeterias or vending machines with healthy food.
