Starting last December, a total of 10 new Mitsubishi hybrid trucks began distributing Coca-Cola beverages around the wider center of Prague. Greener alternative of transport will reduce CO2 emissions by up to 23%. Due to the lack of drivers in the market, the company also decided to create its own team of 12 drivers instead of hiring external carriers.
“The hybrid flotilla is another step in our effort to build an environmentally-friendly fleet. There is a number of CNG cars in the fleet as well. We also plan to test plug-in hybrid cars and purely electric cars. Every year we reduce the fuel consumption of our cars, in 2018 it was 5.86 l / 100 km, which is more than 6% less than in 2012, ”said Petr Jonák, Director of External Relations and Sustainability of Coca-Cola HBC.
