The Czech government introduced new rules on entry to the Czech Republic. These will be efficient from 27 April 2020 until the emergency state has been rescinded.
General ban on entry for foreigners, besides those with Czech long-term or permanent residency, stays in force.
Newly the EU nationals will be allowed an entry for business trips (not exceeding 72 hours) or an entry for purpose of employment or study. They will need to be ready to prove their purpose of stay at the borders. In addition they will have to carry with them negative COVID-19 test results (not older than four days) in order to be allowed entry.
This means, that any touristic travels, same as business trips of non-EU nationals to the Czech Republic, continue to be forbidden. Czech Embassies worldwide keep closed for all visa or residence permit applications.***
