Dentons advises Wood & Company on acquisition of Krakov shopping center in Prague

Dentons' Prague office advised WOOD & Company on the acquisition of Centrum Krakov, a shopping center located in Prague, from Syner Group and private investors Petr Syrovátko and Karel Zetka.
Although the deal value is undisclosed, it is one of the largest retail transactions closed on the Czech market this year.
Through the acquisition, Wood & Company expands its retail portfolio, which includes assets valued at more than €206 million and includes mixed-use office and retail center HARFA, acquired in 2016 with Dentons’ assistance.
Opened in 2013, the Krakov shopping center offers approximately 15000 sqm of retail space on three aboveground floors. It currently has 70 units and is almost 100% rented. The building also has 300 parking spaces including charging stations for electric vehicles, and welcomes more than 4 million visitors annually.
Partner Jiří Stržínek, Co-head of the Real Estate practice in Prague, led the Dentons team, which also consisted of partner Markéta Tvrdá and associates Jan Hrivnák, Veronika Kupčíková and Bohuslav Hrdý.
