Karin Pomaizlová wins ‘silver’ in WTR 1000 for 2018

The international law firm Taylor Wessing and its Prague office are pleased to announce that the World Trademark Review 1000 has ranked Karin Pomaizlová, a Taylor Wessing Prague partner, second (“silver”) in the complete trademark service cateogry for 2018, for having provided clients excellent service. The WTR 1000 also ranked the Prague law firm third (“bronze”) in the INTERNATIONAL category, for outstanding business know-how in providing complete trademark service and close collaboration with colleagues specializing in other areas. Taylor Wessing Prague lawyers specializing in Intellectual Property were awarded for achieving specific goals in this area.

Karin Pomaizlová has been a partner of the international law firm Taylor Wessing in the Czech Republic since 2015. She is the head of the IP / IT group. She specializes in the protection of Intellectual Property, the right to protection against unfair competition, advertising regulation, personal data protection and the legal aspects of new technologies (the Internet of Things, Industry 4.0, Big Data, Artificial Intelligence). She also provides legal advice in the regulation of pharmaceuticals, technology transfer and the food industry. She left her own practice to join Taylor Wessing and previously worked at the international law firm Linklaters. In 2013, she received the ILO Client Choice Award in the field of intellectual property, the protection of trademarks. In 2017, the publication Economia included her in its prestigious list of top lawyers notable not only for their successful careers but also maximum commitment to clients and their influence (not only) in the domestic market. This year, she was named IP STAR 2017 in the trademark protection category. She is a member of the international professional associations MARQUES and LIDC. She is a past president of the Czech group Licensing Executives Society.

The WTR 1000 ranking for the year 2018 included a total of six jurisdictions of the Taylor Wessing international network (Austria, Benelux, the Netherlands, Germany, Slovakia, the United Kingdom and the Czech Republic). The international law firm Taylor Wessing was among the few offices also ranked in the prestigious INTERNATIONAL category. Fourteen lawyers from this network were also individually ranked in their respective jurisdictions (some even in more than one category).
