Law firm Taylor Wessing strengthens team with new partner

The law firm Taylor Wessing Czech Republic in September welcomes a new partner: Barbora Dubanská, an experienced lawyer specializing in competition, pharmaceutical law and regulatory issues related to EU law. In recent years, she has worked in highly regulated areas with a major focus on pharmaceuticals, FMCG and digital solutions. Taylor Wessing is thus gaining a professional team player with solid international experience. She will not only strengthen the team in the Czech Republic. She will also represent the team covering Central and Eastern Europe, where she will be Co-Head CEE for Life Sciences. As such, she will also significantly enhance synergies between the teams.

Dubanská gained long-term experience in one of the largest international pharmaceutical companies. Previously, she also worked for international law firms in Prague, London and Munich; there she also served as Head of Competition for the CEE region.

She studied at Charles University in Prague and also graduated from universities in Düsseldorf and Lisbon. She later successfully completed a Ph.D. in business law at the University of Brisbane. She also received an LL.M. in EU and Commercial law from the University of Cambridge, and later attended the postgraduate program Lifesciences Accelerator at the Judge Business School. She also earned a Master of Healthcare Administration to expand her knowledge of the sector.

Dubanská’s expertise has been recognized by international organisations such as Chambers Europe and Legal 500. In rankings by the leading professional legal magazine in the Czech Republic, Právní rádce (‘Legal Advisor’), she has for many years been listed among the best lawyers on the market. Apart from her native Czech, she speaks English, German, French, Spanish and Portuguese.
