Lawyer Karin Pomaizlová again recognised in the ranking IP STARS, for the year 2019

The international law film Taylor Wessing and its Czech subsidiary are pleased to announce that Karin Pomaizlová, a partner at Taylor Wessing Czech Republic, has been recognized as a ‘Trademark star’ in the global Managing Intellectual Property IP STARS for 2019, for providing outstanding complete legal services in trademark protection. The rankings evaluated aspects including expertise, workload and reputation on the market, as well as results achieved for clients. The jury also assesses unique strengths in the given field of practice.

Once again, Pomaizlová was recognized for her work in the areas of copyright and related rights, transactions in the intellectual property sphere, and litigation regarding trademarks, including proceedings before the authorities and prosecutions over trademark infringement. Furthermore, also as regards strategy and advice in protecting trademarks. She works for clients in the advertising, information and communication technology (ICT), software, pharmaceutical and tobacco industries.

Karin Pomaizlová has been a partner in the international law firm Taylor Wessing in the Czech Republic since 2015.  She is the Head of IP / IT. She specializes in intellectual property law, in the unfair competition law, advertising regulation, data protection, and legal aspects of new technologies (the Internet of Things, Industry 4.0, Big Data, Artificial Intelligence). Furthermore, she provides legal advice in the areas of the regulation of pharmaceuticals, transfer of technologies and food&beverage industries. She joined Taylor Wessing after having established her own practice, and having worked in Linklaters. In 2013 she was awarded an ILO Client Choice Award in the field of intellectual property and trademark protection. In 2017, Karin was included in the Economia Publishing House in a prestigious overview of lawyers that combines not only a successful career, but also a maximum commitment and influence (not only) to their surroundings. She was also included in the IP STAR Ranking 2017 as the one star in the category Trade mark star – Czech Republic. In 2018 she was awarded a silver medal. Karin is a member of the international professional associations MARQUES and LIDC. She was also president of the Czech chapter of the Licensing Executives Society.
