Advisory firm EY has appointed a new partner in the Czech Republic. Luboš Prchal has been promoted to partner in the financial services advisory for the Czech Republic and Central Europe. In his new role, he will concentrate on finding new opportunities and maintaining EY’s leading position in financial sector services on the Central European market.
Luboš Prchal leads EY’s financial services risk management team focused on the modeling of credit risks, capital adequacy models, stress testing and related regulatory matters. The team also focuses on data analytics – services comprising the collection, processing and visualization of complex data both online and for one-off analyses.
Luboš Prchal also manages a unique team of experts known as a Quantitative Hub, based in Prague, which has been providing services in the development and validation of quantitative financial risk models for the world’s largest banks for more than 3 years.
Luboš Prchal has been with EY since 2007. His clients have included a number of leading financial institutions active in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and other countries of Central and Southeastern Europe. He has extensive knowledge of statistics and quantitative methods in financial risk management. He studied mathematical statistics at Charles University in Prague and Paul Sabatier University in Toulouse, where he obtained is PhD. He speaks English and French. Married with two children, he enjoys spending free time with his family and engaging in sports and travel.
As of 1 July 2016, EY appointed 714 new partners worldwide. The overall EY headcount has grown to 230,000.
