Martin Brix appointed the new Managing Director of LeasePlan Czech Republic

Martin Brix has been named Managing Director of LeasePlan Czech Republic, succeeding Mr. Jaromir Hajek. Mr Brix is currently the company’s Finance Director and Mr. Petr Mašek, Deputy Finance Director, will take on the role of Finance Director and is also appointed as Company Statutory Representative.

Martin Brix is a graduate of the School of Economics in Prague. He joined the Czech branch of LeasePlan in 1999 and in 2007 was appointed by LeasePlan Corporation to start up the operations of the branch in Romania as Finance Director. The Romanian branch turned profitable within three years of operations and became the market leader after five years. In 2012 Martin Brix returned to the Czech Republic in the position of Finance Director.

Mr Brix was appointed Finance Director of the year for 2016 by the CFO Club, who noted a number of his achievements. The fleet of the Czech branch has grown 10% in the past few years, mostly due to the increase of new customer segments, such as SME. Recent surveys also show an increase in customer loyalty and a steady employee engagement rate.

Martin will take over from Jaromir Hajek, who has stepped down from his position as of Managing Director LeasePlan Czech Republic. Jaromir joined LeasePlan in 1995 as Managing Director of the newly incorporated branch in Prague. In his role as Managing Director of Prague, Jaromir has been pivotal in starting our Czech Republic business.

Commenting on his appointment, Mr Brix said:

The newly appointed Finance Director of the Czech branch, Mr Masek graduated from the School of Economics in Prague and he joined the company in 1999 in the position of Head Accountant. He became the Deputy Finance Director in 2004.
