Eversheds Sutherland’s Prague team welcomed a new partner, a senior associate, two associates and two junior associates to its ranks last year.
Attorney-at-law Jaroslav Tajbr joined the Prague office of international law firm Eversheds Sutherland as a partner in the beginning of December 2023. He will be responsible for the office’s practice in the areas of IP and IT law. Jaroslav is an established lawyer with more than 15 years of experience, gained during his cooperation with leading international law firms. His last engagement before joining Eversheds Sutherland was international law firm Squire Patton Boggs.

Jaroslav focuses on intellectual and industrial property protection, IT and electronic communications law, personal data protection and cybersecurity. He also has expertise in mergers and acquisitions, particularly in technological transactions, as well as in employment, contractual and litigation matters. His areas of expertise include technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, robotic process automation, autonomous driving, Edge Computing, virtual reality, blockchain and the Internet of Things.
Jaroslav graduated from the Faculty of Law of Charles University in Prague and International Business at the University of Economics. He has authored or co-authored many professional publications and has been included in major international rankings on numerous occasions and regularly participates in pro bono projects.

Senior associate Lola Florianová is an important reinforcement of the transaction team. She focuses on M&A, including due diligence, corporate transformations and joint ventures. In addition to her law practice, she also lectures and has a publishing track record, including co-authoring a Wolters Kluwer commentary on the Law on Conversions of Companies and Cooperatives. Lola graduated from the Faculty of Law of Charles University in Prague and also studied management and law at the Management Center Innsbruck in Austria. Prior to joining Eversheds Sutherland, she cooperated with law firm bnt attorneys-at-law for ten years. Her language skills enable her to work with English and German speaking clients.

Vladimír Foldyna’s legal practice is focused on representing clients in court and also on corporate and international private law. He studied at the Faculty of Law of Masaryk University in Brno and International Relations at the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO). Before joining Eversheds Sutherland, he was gaining experience as an independent attorney-at-law and also worked at the International Department of the Ministry of Justice. In addition to Czech and English, he is fluent in Russian.

Another new colleague at Eversheds Sutherland, Petr Kučera, is also specialised in corporate law. In addition, he has extensive experience in advising on mergers and acquisitions and representing clients in court. Prior to joining Eversheds Sutherland, Petr worked at ROWAN LEGAL and KPMG Legal. He graduated from the Faculty of Law of Charles University in Prague.

Junior associate Alžběta Frýdlová has joined the firm’s real estate team.
She gained her enthusiasm for real estate thanks to her personal experience in the field of lease relations and also thanks to her work experience in a real estate office in Canada. In addition to real estate law, she is also focused on commercial law. Alžběta graduated from the Faculty of Law of University of West Bohemia in Pilsen.

In her practice at Eversheds Sutherland, junior associate Anastasija Levina focuses on real estate law, employment law and litigation. She has gained experience at international law firms bpv Braun partners and Schönherr. In addition, Anastasija completed an internship at the Constitutional Court and volunteered at the Refugee Aid Organisation. She graduated from the Faculty of Law of Charles University in Prague, where she obtained specialisation in criminal law. She is also interested in IP and IT law. In addition to Czech, she is fluent in English and Russian and can communicate in German.
