Newsletter DHP Legal News: What will 2018 be like?

The main topic at the start of the new year was the presidential election, which made waves in politics and beyond. While we are not expecting any revolutionary legislative changes, for a number of our clients the start of the year will be associated with the introduction of the "GDPR". And if that weren't enough, companies will have to contribute to the fight against money laundering by registering their so-called beneficial owners in a newly established (non-public) register. For many statutory representatives (especially foreign companies), this can be a rather challenging task. Nevertheless, we believe that 2018 will go down in history as a time of growth and prosperity, not as a year of regulation, registers and the GDPR.
