The mBank changes location of headquarters, moving to Butterfly is provided by JLL

Real estate consulting company JLL provides the relocation of mBank offices to Butterfly (newly AFI Karlín) in Prague Karlín. The mBank headquarters will be relocated in the second quarter of 2018. In total, the company leased 3,600 sq m of Class A* space. The company will use the entire fourth floor, half of the third floor and the meeting room with a terrace on the sixth floor of the Butterfly project. 

"We have continued with our cooperation from 2012, when we helped mBank with moving to the Futurama Business Park project. Now, we've helped the company, together with its employees who have been included in the decision-making as well, to find a suitable project that not only reflects their expansion needs, but where new spaces will also offer design improvements to the working environment. A nice bonus for employees may be the use of a roof terrace on the top floor of the building," said Dagmar Karbanová from JLL Tenant Representation Department. In Futurama, mBank used 1700 sq m, which was approximately half the size of the company's new space.

JLL has provided mBank, in cooperation with ambassadors from its employees, with complete services from finding the ideal location and space for their new offices to negotiating good rental conditions. At present, JLL Project Management provides complete management of interior work, including tenders and site supervision. Their work will be completed by the final handover of the premises to the client in June 2018. The work of designing new offices has been provided by JLL's subsidiary, Tétris.

“For our client mBank we prepared the layout plan for three floors in Butterfly covering altogether almost 3500 sq m of class A premises. Our architects had a challenging task of incorporating design of the mBank brand together with the inspiration from the Warsaw headquarters and at the same time creating a unique and contemporary atmosphere. We are delighted that the final result is in line with the client’s brand as well as with the very special Butterfly building,” said Lucie Malá, Business Development Manager from Tétris.

Originality of Butterfly

The building is located near the city center in a modern and highly sought-after location of Prague's Karlín, where many successful Czech and foreign companies reside. Butterfly (newly AFI Karlín) is a top-class office energy-efficient building striving to obtain BREEAM Excellent certification. In addition to environmental friendliness, it has significantly lower energy consumption compared to other projects. The entire building offers 23,105 sq m of top-quality rental areas with a magnificent green façade and is the work of architect David Chisholm of the renowned international atelier CMC Architects.

*A class office spaces are usually located in prestigious buildings of the most lucrative locations in Prague, such as Prague 1, Prague 4 - Pankrác or Prague 8 - Karlín, corresponding to Class A standards. These properties are usually created to offer offices to international companies and their rent is usually higher than usual rent in the given location.
