Tomáš Procházka named partner of Eversheds Sutherland

In June, Tomáš Procházka was appointed a new partner of law firm Eversheds Sutherland, which he has worked for under the name Dvořák, Hager & Partners since 2005. In his new position he wants to focus primarily on the development of international cooperation within one of the largest law firms in the world with over 5,000 people in 34 countries.

"In the 14 years since I joined the firm we have grown from a small five-person business to a team of almost 70 people today," Tomáš said. "We have now moved a few steps further with Eversheds Sutherland, becoming part of an international network that guarantees its clients contact points and a uniform quality of service in all countries. However, we remain primarily Czechoslovak lawyers with international reach. I am proud to be part of a firm that is constantly growing and brings together the best experts in the field."

Tomáš heads the firm's labour law team and is regularly included in Band 1 in international rankings of legal services, which describe him as "one of the best labour law lawyers in the country" and highly regard "his ability to take a comprehensive view of a company's legal needs".

While he deals with labour law in its entirety, Tomáš is best known in the area of litigation, including termination of employment and disputes with whistleblowers. He also specialises in managerial liability, the labour law aspects of business transactions, trade union relations and strategic labour law issues.

He is a member of the Labour Law Section of the Czech Bar Association, a founding member of the Czech Employment Lawyers Association (CzELA), a member of the Association for the Development of Collective Bargaining and Labour Relations and a mediator for collective labour disputes appointed by the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs.

In addition to his legal practice, Tomáš devotes himself to lecturing and regularly contributes to various journals. Besides Czech he speaks fluent English.
