Unique Staffing Service for CTPark Bor

At CTPark Bor, the second largest industrial park in CEE, CTP innovated a new service in direct response to client’s needs: CTPersonnel. In 2014, when the unemployment in the Czech Republic began to show signs of hitting historic lows, CTP instituted a number of new services focused on addressing client’s concerns about finding adequate and flexible workforce.

Many logistics clients chose to locate in Bor because of its advantageous location near the German border. While they service various industry types, logistics companies require workers with similar skill sets, with peaks at various seasons throughout the business cycle.  Because of the size of the local town, the growing needs of our clients required a unique solution to the growing labour scarcity.

CTP first began by organising with surrounding villages for the local transport lines to include CTPark Bor, with stops in front of our largest clients facilities. 

Secondly, CTP began it’s own shuttle bus service, which connected those towns and cities which public transport poorly serviced, directly to CTPark Bor.  CTP organised the schedules to coordinate with the client’s daily shift changes, ensuring that workers get to work on time.

Thirdly, CTP set up an online job portal, skvelaprace.cz, which is managed by CTPersonnel staff. The online portal allows companies in our park post job openings, and allows for workers to apply directly for a job at our parks. Through this,  CTPersonnel is to provide staffing to our multiple clients by connecting them to a larger pool of job seekers than each company could reach on their own. For workers, CTPersonnel helps to ensure that they are fully employed even when a single client’s seasonal needs change. This built in flexibility helps both clients and workers.

To accommodate workers from further away, last year CTP built the first phase of its worker housing. The on-site housing provides workers low cost facilities, reduces travel hinderances, and allows workers the ability to work special shifts.  The 400-bed facility was filled within  only a few months from completion, and a second 400-bed housing facility is already under construction.

To ensure that worker’s needs are met, CTP is constructing an on-site service centre which will provide a doctor’s office, mini market, and canteen. Outside these facilities, CTP is investing in exercise areas and relax zones, with surrounding greenery for workers to enjoy in their off-hours.

This innovative solution makes CTP unique on the market. Our approach is to continue to respond to the changing needs of our clients over the long term.  We view it as our responsibility to care for the clients in our parks, which means considering both their employees' needs and those of the local communities, to ensure long-term value.
