The University of New York in Prague in cooperation with Future Females Prague will be hosting an online public webinar on the topic of women in entrepreneurship.
The topic will be looking at what is the status quo and where are the challenges of gender inequality within the business world. The discussion will focus on the current situation of the female-founded businesses, common obstacles, and their misconceptions. All while looking at what can be done in order to spark and speed up the change.
Please join a discussion with the Ambassador of Canada to the Czech Republic – H.E. Ayesha Patricia Rekhi, Founder and CEO of INEV Martina Bacíková (Forbes 30 under 30), Founder of Diversio Linda Štucbartová (Social Innovator), co-Founders of GenWork Dimana Mabhena and Barbora Langer (both Future Females Prague Ambassadors).
Even though the female-owned businesses are on the rise worldwide with their first big breakthrough in 2019 - the reports showed that women-owned startups delivered twice as much per dollar invested compared to those funded by men. 2019 data by Crunchbase still reported a huge gap between funding female-founded and male-founded companies with male founders raising 195 billion USD in 2019 as opposed to female founders raising just 6 billion USD globally.
What really keeps women-owned businesses from getting more money? How to address it? Join us and ask our amazing speakers on November 2nd at 17:00 CET.
