With a notable increase in the number of American students coming to study in Europe, what is it that attracts so many to a school like AAU?

This Observer article discusses the financial draw of studying in Europe for American students, highlighting the massive tuition gap between US and European colleges and the growing appeal of studying abroad. It includes interview excerpts from Jennifer Viemont of Beyond the States, an online consultancy for American students considering studying abroad, and has a special mention of recent Alumna Liza Miezejeski in her decision to study outside the states. The article highlights how schools such as AAU have more affordable tuition and the same quality of higher education as traditional US universities while also providing aspects of the “American college” experience in a European setting.
