Y Soft and AmCham continues to supply face shields for hospitals and schools

Update from Václav Muchna, Co-owner and CEO of Y Soft:
The project continues, the demand is now driven by schools and I expect that the number of delivered shields in the Czech Republic will reach 30,000 within a month. Based on many responses, especially from health and social services, it was clear that this project was absolutely crucial at the time, because it allowed to skip central procurement (which, according to many people, made buying few pieces of shields a matter of 14 days). Time was what was at stake, and thanks to cooperation of Y Soft and Amcham, we managed to do it together.
A total of 24,000 shields has already been delivered withing the Czech Republic. The main interest in shields is now from schools where we will deliver thousands of them. We manage to handle the request within few days. After satisfaction of demand for shiled in the Czech Republic, we have started to deliver shields to the EU, 5000 shields have been delivered so far.
Y Soft CEO and Co-founder, Vaclav Muchna talked with Andy Slawetsky about how Y Soft is navigating the COVID-19 crisis and how we are utilizing our YSoft be3D eDee 3D printers to produce face shields to donate to medical workers in the Czech Republic. We are now talking with our partners to expand this to other regions too.
AmCham has agreed to co-finance printing of the face mask through its Silent Auction funds.
