We’re looking for a skilled QA Test engineer who is looking to take on a lead role in validating our
application. You’ll be playing a pivotal role in design reviews, influencing architecture and mentoring our engineers from a QA perspective. And of course, you’ll be actively contributing to the code base and helping us leverage existing Google technologies where appropriate.
As a Test Engineer, you will spend a large part of your time creating test strategies and writing test plans to validate our web application. In addition you will be coding to develop automated scripts. As the Test Engineer you will be an integral part of the development team and will be working closely with our Product Manager and FE/BE developers.
Our philosophy is build it, break it and then rebuild it better. That thinking is at the core of how we approach testing. Unlike roles with similar names at the other companies, Our Test Engineers aren't manual testers you write scripts to automate testing and create tools so developers can test their own code. As a Test Engineer, we need you to, identify weak spots and constantly design better and creative ways to break software and identify potential problems.
Responsibilities
Develop test strategies.
Develop team testing process & best practice guidance
Automate tests using test frameworks
Test application across multiple clients including mobile devices and tablets
Gather & evaluate feedback
Identify opportunities for testing improvement
Write moderately complex code/scripts to test systems.
Take responsibility for monitoring product development and usage at all levels with an eye toward
improving product quality.
Skills and Experience :
Deep knowledge of test methodologies, writing test plans, creating test cases, and debugging
1 - 3 years experience in QA methodologies and testing applications
1 – 3 years of experience developing test automation
Deep knowledge of Python & Java
Deep knowledge of internet technologies
Working knowledge of relational databases and SQL
Solid experience and with modern software architectures, technologies, tools, techniques.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (In lieu of degree, 4 years relevant work experience)
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Computer Science
