Health & Safety Manager

For our client, world leader in the production of office furniture, and his Czech plant that supplies whole Europe, we are looking for HEALTH & SAFETY MANAGER.

Your mission:

• To provide leadership and coordination in developing Health and Safety and Environmental
• Ensure plant compliance with safety & environmental legal requirements, and with corporate standards.
• Implement safety , ergonomic and environmental improvement project and improve HSE performance.

Job profile:

• Maintain evaluation of compliance and update legal and other requirements related to Health & Safety, and Environment
• Is the management representative, who has responsibility and authority for ensuring that the ISO 14001 management system is maintained according to ISO 14001 standard, and for reporting to plant manager on the performance and required improvement of the ISO 14001 management system.
• Implement, review, update and improve local HSE Management system according to EMAS and PEFC standards
• Implement company HSE policies and follow HSE company standards
• Conduct injury investigations and verify the completion of corrective actions
• Is in charge of updating the occupational risk assessment document
• Provide support to plant manager and operations managers
• Provide support to plant manager for attending HSE related meetings
• Conduct internal audits and monitor effective closure of findings
• Identify training needs, plan and conduct internal HSE trainings.
• Oversee maintenance and inspection of firefighting, rescue and emergency response equipments, and of all equipments related to HSE
• Lead Emergency Response Team and assist in the operation
• Lead working group related to HSE matters
• Conduct ergonomic assessments of workstations according to company standards
• Establish and oversees safety plans dedicated to companies contracted to work at the site
• Provide regular data report for corporate functions

Your profile:

• University degree/training in HSE, with a first experience in manufacturing industry and in lean environment
• Fluent in Czech language (mother tongue), fluent in English
• Strong knowledge in HSE legal environment
• Technical/production knowledge
