Software Document Specialist– Chemical Analys

Our client is an established IT development firm that specialises in developing software for chromatography systems and chemical analysers for scientific application across the globe. The company works with new modern technologies and the software is at the cutting-edge of this sector. To give more perspective, this company’s software is one of the top 5 in this area. For their collective we currently seek the following role: SOFTWARE DOCUMENT SPECIALIST– CHEMICAL ANALYSER SOFTWARE (REF: WEDI)

Responsibilities:

Our client has a small team devoted to creating and providing documentation for their software, describing processes and functionality the system has to offer. This documentation will be for international users of the system, and will provide them with excellent support to learn and understand the software, as well as to troubleshoot and solve problems.

In this job, you will prepare user documents, training documents, presentations in PowerPoint (but not giving the presentations) and more. To a small extent you will test some functionality in the system, and provide a small level of user support. You will need to learn the system and be in communication with technical specialists. Most important, you need to very communicative in English language to guide and teach users (through your documentation) to use the software effectively. Your work will contribute in a very real way to help international users in the scientific community to use the software well.

A key presentation tool used internally requires understand of HTML. Although you will not need to develop web applications, you do need to have some understanding of HTML, and work accurately with it.

We require:

• Minimum High School Education from a technical background, University is preferred
• We need someone with a good technical background and orientation on complex software on a functional level
• Fluent written and spoken English is required for this role
• Background with HTML, CSS is strongly preferred
• The best profile for this role is a fresh graduate with completed IT degree, technical experience and dynamic written and spoken English
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent teaching skills / Ability to convey technical concepts clearly and effectively
