Responsibilities:
In this role, the Network Architect / Service Manager leads a distributed team responsible for the management of a global infrastructure network. This includes data-centre networking, LAN, WLAN, VOIP, network and technical data security. You will drive a small team which provides Level 2 support to all end-users, and will be expected to perform a wide variety of evaluations, maintenance, installation, and training tasks to ensure the network infrastructure and solutions performance meets the business expectations.
It will be important to conduct strategic and tactical planning for the data and voice network so that they align with the overall strategy and growth of the international group. Drive pro-active capacity management and performance management processes that meet the business requirements. Ensure reliability, availability, and scalability to ensure that data center, network, voice, telecommunications services are uninterrupted. It will be important that all projects, initiatives, and support activities follow information security and business continuity/disaster recovery standards.
An important part of this role will be to define and develop key performance indicators to ensure that Service Level Agreements are met. Routinely gather and report on this information and develop procedures to improve Quality of Service. Participate in the establishment of Group IT goals and implement procedure and performance standards to achieve these goals. Overall - manage, coordinate, monitor and evaluate the activities of the network infrastructure team, maintaining network functionality and report to the CTO.
We require:
• University education in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent education required.
• 5+ years of experience in enterprise-level IT operations and support (3+ years supervisory experience)
• Experience building, deploying, and managing network and application monitoring solutions that provide clear visibility into network traffic and performance
• Senior networking experience that includes deep technical and functional understanding of network security, VOIP, WAN, LAN, and internet routing and switching protocols, wireless and VPN capabilities
• Experience with operating systems, Exchange 2010/2012, Active Directory, Lync, Cisco and Palo Alto equipment
• Experience with Domains, Segmentation, Account Management, Network backups, Trusts, Policies, Network Protocols and Bindings, and Software Imaging, QoS, and Firewalls
• Excellent leadership, project management, communications, coaching, and mentoring skills.
• Able to communicate fluently in English, verbally and in writing.
