Financial Controller

Financial Controller manages accounting and banking function of the Company in order to ensure accuracy, completeness and timeliness of the financial services and information provided to the management of the Company and of the international division and to the other departments. Financial Controller ensures that Finance as a service department is responsive to other departments where required to adapt existing or introduce new financial controls and procedures as a result of changes in our business environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance of financial reports and analyses
  • Manages and prepares of annual financial accounts
  • Manages, with close cooperation with Tax Department, daily processing of the tax side of the Company’s operations
  • Manages banking function of the Company to ensure adequate liquidity management and smooth administration of the Company’s agent banking system
  • Financial procedures and controls
  • Manages the cost budget of the Finance departments
  • Assistance in preparation of Company budget
  • Preparation/ Assistance in various business analysis
  • Managing, motivating and coaching team of subordinates

Requirements:

Knowledge:

  • University graduate, preferably specialised in economics
  • Finance formal accounting education (ACCA, certificate of the Czech accountants) is an advantage
  • Good knowledge and understanding of local standards (Czech & Slovakian) and IFRS
  • Good, practical knowledge on financial accounting systems
  • General good knowledge on budgeting, business analysis and taxation
  • Good knowledge and understanding on treasury and banking (including electronic banking)
  • Knowledge of standard internal controls procedures
  • Native Czech/Slovak with fluent English (written and spoken)

Skills:

  • Very good PC user skills (MS Applications)
  • Very good analytical and managerial skills
  • Experience in project’s management would be a plus

Experience: 

  • Min 5 years in an accounting and/or finance environment, preferably in an international environment
  • Min 3 years’ experience in managerial role managing minimum medium size teams (6 – 15 people)
  • Participating (important role) in business project of significant size
