For our client, a company that provides enterprise platform for business intelligence, I am looking for Linux SW Engineer
Responsibilities
- Development and ongoing maintenance of the cloud-based production environment
- Security awareness, compliance with industry best practice and adoption of newest trends
- Excellent functional and technical knowledge of the platform
- Participation in design, implementation and operation of the platform services both for internal and external customers
- Participation in 24x7 on-call support and weekend maintenance windows
Requirements
must:
- Good knowledge of Linux operating system administration, troubleshooting and finetuning
- Knowledge of TCP/IP based computer networks and usual internet protocols
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team
- Work under time constraints, meeting deadlines
- Resilience to stress
- Ability to work overtime
- Ability to travel up to 20%
- Intermediate level of written technical English
- Fluent Czech

- Programming and scripting languages knowledge: Python, Perl, Bash, C/C++, Java, Erlang
- Administration, troubleshooting and finetuning of relational databases, especially PostgreSQL
- JVM and Java application server (Tomcat, JBoss) troubleshooting and finetuning
- Virtualization (KVM, OpenStack, Linux Containers, OpenVZ)
