STRATEGIC PURCHASER/PURCHASING MANAGER

Our client - a multinational production company in the automotive area - is seeking for an experienced and highly motivated candidate to join their successful team, which is located in Ostrava´s region.
As Strategic Purchaser/Purchasing Manager you will be responsible for the whole purchasing activity at the company. This is a strategic role, which is reporting to the company director, but people management tasks are not included in this job. You will make audits of the suppliers, select and evaluate with the best condition (quality, price and delivery terms). You should negotiate commercial terms with suppliers and you are also responsible for the creation and use of their ratings.
The ideal candidate must have at least 2-3 years experience in strategic purchasing of technical products, preferably from automotive industry. You gain experience in negotiating with suppliers, auditing suppliers. You have preferably university degree in engineering. Basic knowledge of the quality standards (ISO TS 16949, VDA 6.3) is also necessary for this position. Due to the international environment the candidate should speak at least on advanced level in English. Excellent negotiation, communication and organisation skills are must for this position.
