Accounting Team Leader / Global Operations Centre / Budapest

For our client, fortune 500 firm listed on NYSE and well known in different sectors, we search for a candidate on a position of an Accounting Team Leader R2R seated in Budapest (Hungary), who will lead a diverse team, partnering with other businesses to execute on this key area within the finance organization and who will be mainly responsible for accounting and ensuring of compliance across all operations.
The other responsibilities of the successful candidate will be:
- Leadership of a team of Accounting Analysts administering standardized accounting procedures in line with local accounting regulations and US GAAPs
- Monitor operational performance
- Oversee Consolidation & Closing processes and Collections & Billing processes
- Review and approve account reconciliations
- Organize and plan audit schedules
- Drive quarterly rigor on financial filings approach (track stat audit status, quarterly consolidation of financials including taking care of various cost allocations methodologies by Corporate, interdivisional transactions, etc.)
The successful candidate will have:
- Bachelor´s degree in Finance and Accounting
- Written and verbal fluency in English, and Czech/Slovak language
- Experience in leading a team, its motivation, proven ability to drive team performance with a focus on a quantitative and qualitative metrics, experience of effective management of under-performance
- US GAAPs, and CAS/ SAS
- Effective interpersonal skills and highly professional style when dealing with business clients
