Sr. Solution Tester / QA Engineer

Core Mission:
• Validation of customized software and global solutions linked to company’s Telco products (Java application deployed in Unix/Linux environment with Oracle database).
• The tester participates in the test strategy, writes the test plan and executes the tests: he is responsible for the quality of solution delivered to customers.
Responsibilities:
• Design test plans based on functional requirements specifications
• Review or participate/define the test strategy, identify and mitigate validation risks
• Write and perform manual and automated tests of the SW
• Analyze issues, record defects, verify fixed defects
• Regression testing, non-functional testing
• Consolidate regular report on test results and progress, write final test result report and present it.
• Work closely with project managers to review customer requirements and to provide status about quality and risks
• Respect of company process: reviews, quality, configuration management
Requirements:
• University graduate (Bc.) in IT (computer science, telecommunications)
• Fluent English
• At least 3 – 4 years of work experience as a Tester
• Experienced with Unix/ Linux platform
• Good knowledge of validation methodology (writing specification, validation test plan, development standard load tests tools)
• Good SQL skills and ability to understand software specification and architecture
• Programming skills (Java and optionally Python or other scripting language)
• Experience with test automation tools/framework & Quality Center
• Experience with SoapUI or Jmeter tool and knowledgeable with WEB services
• Experience with project life cycle (at least one completed project)
• Very good analytical mind, able and willing to learn
• Customer and service oriented
• Communicative, open-minded, friendly and a team player
• Flexibility and ability to work in stress situations
• Autonomous, creative, curious, pragmatic and rigorous, hard-worker, dedicated to project success, can-do attitude
• Ready for some business travel (in Europe) for knowledge transfer or for project (acceptance with our customers)
Advantage:
• Knowledge of Telecom networks and security + handsets dev. (GSM/3G, secure SW/PKI, SIMcard, Android)
• Overview of security and cryptography (PKI, RSA, 3DES, …)
• Work experience for a Mobile Network Operator or a Bank
