Key tasks:
- Sourcing activities
- Report daily result of activities
- Expedite and improve time of delivery of Goods and documents
- Support and to assist the communication and correspondence between European suppliers and company
- Make expediting visit to suppliers to improve suppliers performance
- Inform shipping instructions and follow their coordination of shipment with freight forwarder
- Assist suppliers to claim payments to "mother company" and coordinate their payment to suppliers
- Solve trouble and problem between suppliers and "mother company"
- Maintain and improve relationship with current suppliers and find new suppliers in Europe
- Provide "mother company" with valuable information about suppliers, laws and regulations, markets, etc.
- Monitor progress and order status of suppliers
- Back up other buyers in group
- Promote new idea for cost down method by modifying design or technical specification
- Review and report the difference between commercial and technical requirements and European standard practice
- Find and/or evaluate new suppliers if they can comply with quality standard
Requirements:
- Work experience as a buyer in heavy or similar industry
- Total fluency in English (C1-C2)
- Knowledge other Central and Eastern European languages
- Knowledge of international trade, industrial or general contract law
- Willingness to business trips to the territories would be required - from Russia to Bulgaria, from UK to Japan
- Long term business trip (1 to 2 months) is sometimes required
Company can offer work in small team in Prague office but as a part of traditional and stable international company with huge worldwide business.
