Chief Accountant
Responsibilities:
- To supervise a team of three accountants
- To focus on accounting control standards, especially on GL account reconciliation process
- To ensure that accounting processes are kept up to date
- To organize the monthly closing process and keeping the required deadlines
- Preparation of statutory returns (VAT, Road Tax etc.)
- Preparation of statutory reports (statutory accounts)
- Cooperation on projects related to accounting
Requirements:
- University degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred
- Fluent English
- Fluent Czech
- At least 4 years of work experience with accounting (preferably within in a medium to large international company)
- At least 2 years of work experience as a chief accountant
- Working knowledge of international accounting principles
- Knowledge of accounting procedures and tax law in the Czech Republic
- Experience with the coordination and preparation of statutory closing
- Experience in participating in the audit process and meeting audit requirements desirable
- Good experience in Balance sheet accounts reconciliation
- Advanced level of MS Office (Excel), international accounting SW
- Good analytical capabilities
- Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines
- Flexibility, independence and reliability
- Ability to organize work, prioritize tasks, proactive approach to work
- Accuracy, precision, attention to detail
Location: Prague 4, Michle
Start: ASAP (at latest in December 1st)
