Responsibilities:
The role of the Support Specialist is to provide proactive and reactive support for production services, supporting all production systems running in global IT. Support business critical applications, running within global IT. You will document best practices and adhere to formal standards and processes. Assess, develop and implement infrastructure related to endpoint support and management.
Gather, assess, and communicate critical information on a timely basis, by interacting with a broad set of teams, and obtaining timely information from a variety of stakeholders. Maintain and help further development of appropriate cost models to reflect changes in technology and provide key input to systems modelling.
Assist with execution of release to production activities, acting as an Internal Quality Gate. Manage internal projects focused on hardware infrastructure improvement with related activities such as project planning, resource planning and reporting.
We require:
• University education from a technical or IT sphere is strongly preferred here
• Experience with Altiris
• Incident management, troubleshooting problem solving
• Technical experience (Endpoints support and management) would be an added advantage
• Very strong orientation on customer
• Fluent written and spoken English is a must
• Strong analytical thinking
• Excellent communication (& documentation) skills with high level of confidence
