Supplier Development Engineer

For our client, a foreign production company in the Czech republic, we look for Supplier Development Engineer Principal. Accountabilities: resolution of quality problems associated with the purchased / sub-contracted materials, services and engineering issues.
Responsibilities:
• communication and co-development of concept with supplier
• concept development
• review and acceptance of internal and external engineering standards and procedures
• may also be responsible for BAAN functions, tooling management, etc.
• participate in and lead projects on cross-functional teams utilizing 6 Sigma tools
• at the senior level projects will increase in complexity and value to strategic objectives
Skills Required:
• engineering or manufacturing background
• knowledge of manufacturing processes
• knowledge of shop operations and maintenance procedures
• familiarity with engineering practices & process planning (interpretation of drawings, tooling concepts,, etc)
• 6 Sigma methodology
Personal skills:
• strong analytical problem solving skills
• strong written and verbal communication skills required
• well-developed interpersonal skills
• well-developed project management and team facilitation skills
