My client is a leading global pharmaceutical company which has a presence in over 140 countries around the world and offer medicines and products in a range of different healthcare area. It is currently building a Global Operations Centre here in Prague, which employs highly qualified IT professionals to provide centralised IT services to support operations in Europe, the Americas and Asia. We are searching for candidates in the following role:
PROJECT MANAGER – CONNECTIVITY (REF: WEDI)
Responsibilities:
In this role, you will be responsible for managing projects to provide IT solutions specifically in the networking and connectivity area. You will need to give the project team direction and maintain control of progress, quality and budget. You will manage and represent projects from start-up to completion and furthermore drive change management. Plan and organize the project, allocate internal and/or external resources to accomplish project tasks and lead the project staff.
You will assume responsibility for achieving the project objectives, managing quality, timeliness and cost of the deliverables. Maintain control over the project’s status and budget.
Report project status and issues where help is needed to Steering Committees and project stakeholders. Comply with internal project management methodology and GxP where applicable.
We require:
• University degree in Computer Science or comparable experience (Life Science experience is a plus)
• At least 8 years of experience in IT Project and Program Management – with a proven track record of leading multinational-, multicultural infrastructure projects on time, quality and budget
• Formal Project Management accreditation preferred (PRINCE 2, PMP, CAPM etc). ITIL v3 certification will also be a plus
• Good awareness of Connectivity technologies and trends – key areas of interest include: Network Services (WAN, LAN, Internet), Security Infrastructure Services (Firewalls, Proxies, Remote Access, VPN), IP Telephony (IPT), Video Conferencing Services.
• Strong understanding of business requirements in the Connectivity Domain.
• Demonstrable leadership skills within a global matrix organization
• Vendor management / service management skills.
• Ability to work in global matrix organization and in multicultural and virtual teams.
• Strong informal and formal networking skills
• Excellent written, presentation and verbal communication skills.
• Fluency (written and spoken) in English, other languages an asset.
