For our client, strongly emerged as the fastest growing vendor in its market, with a single powerful mobile platform within the Telecoms industry, we are looking for a Deployment Engineer.
You will be member of deployment team which is part of a Delivery organization, lead by Chief Operations Officer and report to Team Leader.
You will be responsible for platform deployment on customer sites. This includes HW/SW installation and configuration, CAT execution, product training and go-live support.
Your tasks:
Install/configure hardware
Install/configure linux systems, third party and company software
Provide customer care - support & troubleshooting
Create deployment documentation
Execute software tests
Provide product training (to customers)
Provide emergency out of working hours support
Skills, Requirements:
Advanced knowledge of linux system administration
Networking - tcp/ip, routing
Scripting - perl, python, shell
Basic knowledge of SQL
Advantage:
Knowledge of telecommunication protocols
Cisco switches, itp /stp
Virtualization technologies
C/C++/java
Very good communication skills in English
Team player
Flexibility - travelling abroad, working time
The position is located in Prague and you will spend approx 25% of work time travelling abroad, including all continents.
