Due to various reasons, mainly time and budget constraints, our client business areas develop local tools to respond as soon as possible to Markets and Customers’ requirements, to improve the efficiency of the daily operational processes and/or to perform ad hoc reporting requirements. An additional person is sort after due to the increase in demand to join the existing person in Prague.
The role of this proposed position is to provide Operations with support/development for these Local Applications which are not support by IT (mainly Microsoft Access and Excel).Additionally this position will have to develop new Local Applications in order to fulfil the needs from new demands.
The goal is to manage existing and new local applications in compliance with Policies. Indeed, this position will ensure the maintenance, upgrade and new developments of Local Applications.
Main Tasks
Report to head of Controls.
Monitoring, follow up, and maintenance of Local Applications used within Operations and report to the Local Applications Management.
Contribute to the development of new applications regarding the Validation Process flow described in the Local Applications Policy.
Follow-up of the ongoing Enhancement for a long term solution.
Update and writing of User’s guides coupled with hands on training.
Functional Analysis and Conceptual diagrams.
Writing of Technical Documentations and additionally some Crash Recovery Procedure.
Qualification & Skills
Experienced VBA Developer (Microsoft Access and Excel).
Skills in other languages an advantage e.g. C++ (Borland and Visual C++), and Java Programming.
High competence with SQL in both Oracle and Microsoft environments.
Excellent knowledge on Database Infrastructure and Data Modelling.
Very good written and spoken English, while French or German might be an additional asset but not mandatory
English is a must
