My client is a leading global pharmaceutical company which has a presence in over 140 countries around the world and offer medicines and products in a range of different healthcare area. It is currently building a Global Operations Centre here in Prague, which employs highly qualified IT professionals to provide centralised IT services to support operations in Europe, the Americas and Asia. A focus of activity is support and drive international enterprise platforms and we are seeking candidates for the following role:
PROJECT MANAGER – DATA CENTERS AND ENTERPRISE PLATFORMS (REF: WEDI)
Responsibilities:
As a Project Manager within this global organisation, you can expect to drive and manage projects related both to set up of data centres as well as enterprise infrastructure platforms across the company. You can expect to work with global reports and management across a matrix and virtual corporate environment. Manage projects in terms of planning, budget, deadlines, execution and change management.
As this is a global pharmaceutical company, you will need to expect industry specific challenges; regulatory issues, stakeholder communication and management, presentations persuasion of steering committees. You will be driving projects in a tough international business environment, so get ready for great professional growth and a boost to your career! Expect some travel to Basel as this is a Swiss company to get to grips with central management and key project stakeholders.
We require:
• At least 6 - 8 years + experience in IT Project and Program Management – with a proven track record of leading infrastructure projects
• Good awareness of Data Center and /or hosting technologies – Data Center builds, Virtualization, Hosting infrastructure build or migration projects
• Formal Project Management accreditation preferred (PRINCE 2 or PMP)
• Demonstrable leadership skills within a global matrix organization
• Ability to lead global, multicultural teams
• Excellent budget management skills
• Excellent communication and change management skills
• Vendor management / service management skills.
