Software Engineer

We are looking for a Software Test Engineer, a self-motivated team player interested in cutting edge technologies, with background in software development and knowledge of distributed systems.
Core Responsibilities:
• act as a quality gatekeeper,
• test automation - help integration to speed up testing and delivery,
• plan and test - define test plan, design tests, coordinate manual testing team,
• communicate - talk to PM, Delivery Engineers and Ops daily,
• prepare QA processes and systems for integration of cloud-based services.
Qualifications:
REQUIRED abilities to ensure Quality Assurance and testing of these technologies:
• distributed services providing REST APIs,
• tooling written in Perl and Python,
• automatic tests written using Cucumber with fixtures in Java.
REQUIRED common abilities:
• good knowledge of agile testing methodologies (TDD, BDD, PDD, …),
• experience with build systems and continuous integration (Koji, Jenkins),
• the usual toolset (bash, awk, sed, make, python/perl, SQL),
• ability to work within a team,
• at least intermediate level of written technical English,
• fluent Czech or English spoken language,
• experience with version control (Git preferred).
Skills and abilities bringing advantage to the candidate:
• knowledge of automated deployment systems (Puppet),
• don't mind traveling to Brno/Prague once in a while.
