Our client is an international Czech-established retail chain, with branches across the European region. They have a strong, well-recognised brand as well as a friendly company culture, where all the employees are connected to each other and the overall atmosphere is one of a developing SME company. We are looking for candidates for the following position:
IT MANAGER – RETAIL (REF: WEDI)
Responsibilities:
In this job, the right IT Manager will bring their skills and experience to lead the IT department, providing IT services and support to the entire retail chain. You will be leading a small team that is responsible for maintaining and developing the IT infrastructure, the company software portfolio, communication systems and overall IT support across the company.
You will need to first gain a full understanding of all the IT systems that are in place and drive the maintenance of those systems. You will need to drive the existing IT team to reach their goals in terms of both IT support provision as well as maintenance of all systems and software. Critically, as the company expands, you will be responsible for driving new innovations in IT. This means driving new implementation projects, providing analysis and consultancy across departments and advising top management the best way to proceed to expand IT systems. You can also expect to engage with and drive external IT suppliers.
Drive and motivate your team, be in regular communication with management across the company and report regularly to top management within the firm. You will make a real difference in driving IT trends within the company!
We require:
• Higher education degree in Information Technology or equivalent is an advantage for this position
• 4 year’s plus experience in IT management, reporting to top management level
• Experience leading, motivating and mentoring an IT department
• Project management and implementation experience will be essential for this role
• Team player, supporter and driver
• You should bring a modern IT personality to the company; track the latest trends in IT and turn your expertise into a reality!
• You should have fluent English language in addition to Czech (you will be supporting also countries abroad)
• Overall team spirit!
