It primarily provides IT services for the Life Sciences and Pharmaceutical areas and has a large portfolio of clients on a multinational level. They are currently building up a new delivery centre here in Prague, and within this centre will be key IT roles that will allow the company provide multinational and multi-platform services at the highest quality.

MS SQL DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR – INT. PROJECTS (REF: WEDI)
Responsibilities:
Our client is expanding their Database Operation Department which are largely based in Denmark, but this team is now expanding here in Prague. This team works with MS SQL installations and thousands of user databases. It ensures smooth operation of MS SQL databases for web sites, SAP, Axapta, SharePoint and many other applications.
Your primary tasks will be incident, service and change request management for MS SQL DB, with participation in on-site duty sometimes on weekends during the day time. You will be involved consolidation, automation and performance optimization and database tuning. You will need to provide associated documentation for operations and services, providing guidance and counselling both to your on team and on the client side.
We require:
• University Education from an IT or technical background is ideal for this role
• 3 years plus experience in the position of MS SQL DBA
• 5 years plus experience in IT overall would be ideal here
• Deep knowledge about the Windows platform as well as knowledge on the SQL Server Cluster
• MCDBA, MCITP or knowledge equalling these within the operation of MS SQL Server
• A business-oriented approach to communication and a problem-solving attitude
• You have strong analytical skills as well as a structured positive way of thinking
• You speak and write fluent English
