My client is a growing international firm developing travel expense systems and applications. They develop applications in this field both of international corporate clients, as well as individual clients like you and me.
They are a global company with a development and service centre here in Prague. This development centre is international, so you can expect a collective of international technical specialists with a clear vision as to where their products will take the company in the future. Moreover, it is a fast expanding environment, so expect a dynamic, challenging environment where you can learn and grow.
We are currently searching for the following candidates:
QUALITY ASSURANCE MANAGER - IT (REF: WEDI)
Responsibilities:
You will play a key role in providing effective leadership and management to Quality Engineers, providing technical project management, owning and driving global projects. Primarily you will be leading QA engineers in Prague but you can also have potential to drive QA engineers in other regions. We need you to mentor and develop local leaders, and mentor senior engineers to ensure skills are adequate to perform in their assigned roles.
In this job, you will be expected to champion building Test Driven Development Practices, Unit Test Framework methodologies, best practices and tools. Essential will be the transition from waterfall into an Agile process, which you will lead. Partner with development and other areas of the business on technical projects also.
Awareness of business objectives, impacts to the company and accountability for decisions made within the team are key and you will need to demonstrate understanding and leadership here. You will also be participating on strategic projects that will help to grow the Prague Office and work across the various business organizations as well as regions.
We require:
• Bachelor’s degree in technical field or equivalent industry experience
• 5+ years in Quality Engineering or similar
• 3+ years of management experience in this area
• Good understanding of Agile development practices and QE methodologies
• Leadership qualities including the ability to work effectively with managing diverse opinions and discussions
• Knowledge and experience with Web Services (Mobile and EAI), Service Oriented Architecture, mobile, analytics and Cognos can be important in this job
• In-depth understanding of the software development process
• Effective communication skills, focusing on presentation of technical information
• Fluent English (written and spoken)
