My client is a multinational company with a global, well-known brand name. Here in the Czech market they have an international IT centre providing IT services their business entities in different countries. The company is a great firm to work for due to its international environment and possibilities for personal and professional growth. For this company we are currently looking for range of IT specialists. Could you be the right person for the following role?
Responsibilities:
This role is ideal for someone who wants to work in an international environment, providing application support on the Linux/Unix platform. You can expect to receive and log requests for support from help desk, other service delivery staff and company users.
You need to be able to prioritize requests in accordance with agreed criteria and the needs of the organization, in accordance with agreed SLA . Plan, execute and support implementations so applications themselves are deployed with minimal disruption to the production environment and in the best way.
Investigate and troubleshoot problems and other requests for support and determine appropriate actions. Liaise with higher level development staff responsible for the development of system enhancements and be successful in supporting IT on a global level. There are possibilities for professional growth within this company.
We require:
• University Education from an IT or technical background is an advantage here
• You should have a background with Unix/Linux IT administration to apply for this role
• Experience with database technologies (Oracle, Informix, MS SQL) and working with SQL queries
• Shell scripting experience
• Knowledge of Windows-based systems
• Client and service orientated personality
• Fluent spoken and written English language
